Community Guidelines

Effective May 2026

Lets go hangout exists to help people meet new friends in real life through scheduled Dinner and Coffee events. These Community Guidelines describe how we expect everyone on Lets go hangout to behave. If you’re not sure whether something is okay, ask yourself whether you’d be comfortable doing it in front of the person across from you at the table.

1. Be honest about who you are

Use your real first name and an accurate age. Don’t pretend to be someone else, and don’t use the Service to deceive other members.

2. Show up at the event

Lets go hangout events happen at public venues like restaurants and coffee shops, scheduled by the Lets go hangout team. Attend the venue at the scheduled time, tell someone you trust where you’ll be, and avoid rearranging the meetup to private addresses.

3. Keep it about meeting friends

Lets go hangout is not a dating app and not a marketplace. Events are about small groups meeting as friends. Don’t use the Service to flirt aggressively, send sexual messages, recruit, sell, or promote.

4. Treat people with respect

No harassment, hate speech, threats, slurs, or discrimination. No unwanted advances. If someone declines further contact after an event, let it go.

5. Keep private things private

Don’t share other people’s private information, photos, or messages without their consent.

6. Don’t bring anyone you wouldn’t bring yourself

Lets go hangout accounts are personal. Don’t share your account with someone else, and don’t use Lets go hangout on behalf of someone else.

7. Tell us when something’s wrong

If someone breaks these guidelines — online or at a meetup — please report it to support@letsgohangout.com. Real details (names, times, what happened) help us act fast. We won’t share your identity with the reported member.

8. What happens when these are broken

Depending on what happened, we may warn the account, remove content, restrict features, or close the account. Serious issues can be reported to authorities. Our goal is a community where new people feel safe meeting each other.
